I’m Nargiz, a visual artist from Nukus. My work focuses on the uncomfortable side of things that usually goes unnoticed. I take ordinary objects and strip away their mundanity—I want people to look at these things as if they’re seeing them for the very first time. That’s usually when it all starts making sense.

There is a lot of irony in what I do. I like to take cultural habits and turn them into something ironic yet recognizable

It is deeply important to me that my work is understood. I hate it when art remains inaccessible, gatekept, or "too sophisticated" for no reason. I find that elitism unnatural. My goal is for my concepts to resonate directly with the viewer—no pretension, just a direct hit.
